Moscow session of the VII Black Sea Winemaking Forum will be held on 3 September 2020 in the very heart of Moscow in the world known historical hotel Metropol, just 400m from Kremlin and Red Square.
Black Sea Winemking Forum is an international standing cooperation platform for wine sector of agricultural business and wine trade. The Forum is held with the support of Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation, Russian Union of Viticulturists and Winemakers, Association of Sparkling Wine Producers, Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia, Association “Alliance of Wine Producers” and the Union of Bulgarian Enologists.
Black Sea Winemaking Forum is a standing international cooperation platform for wine sector of agricultural business and wine trade. Since 2014 it organizes annually the specialized comprehensive branch event. A total more than 7000 professionals from the wine business sector, representing about 40 countries and more than 600 enterprises and organizations took part in the events during the first five years history of the Forums. Under the auspices of the Forum since 2014 the collaborative events and business mission trips were organized in Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Moldova, Romania and some other countries. The annual meetings of the Forum determine basic directions for its other activities in wine business sector as an international standing body: they are country business missions, country and regional press tours, wine companies and wine brands promotions, specialized exhibitions, tasting workshops, conferences, wine and spirits competitions.
The Moscow session of the VII Forum consists of the following activities:
Exhibition of winemaking enterprises and wine distributors (wines and spirituous beverages) and the related sectors companies, the exhibition will be opened both to the professionals and to the amateur wine lovers.
Master classes and companies’ presentations will be held for the wine business professionals and wine lovers.
Consumer Tasting Competition “The Choice of Customers” will be held during the Moscow session of the VII Forum. The participants and the visitors of the Forum will evaluate the wines presented by the participating companies. Participation in the Competition is free for the VII Forum participating companies. The companies which do not take part in the Moscow session of the VII Forum can submit the samples for the Competition in absentia, paying fees for them, the prices will be sent by the organizers upon e-mail blackseawinemaking@gmail.com
Wine quizzes, live ethnic music and dances and authentic national cuisine will be the integral parts of the entire event.
The audience of the Session will consist of the owners, executives and top employees of the companies representing the wine trade and related business sectors (retail, horeca, import and distribution) as well as the representatives of the wine departments of federal and regional retail chains, owners of enotecas, wine shops and wine boutiques, sommeliers, cavistes, wine journalists, wine experts, critics and bloggers; the official trade representatives from the embassies of the countries of the region responsible for the winemaking sector and top Moscow private wine lovers.
Depending on the situation with the pandemic and with the international borders crossing in the Black Sea region, two other sessions of the VII Black Sea Winemaking Forum will be held in the 2020 season.
